I thought digital humanities was making available materials into the digital space and making it accessible to everyone. My study of Rare Book and Digital Humanities has thought me that Digital Humanities is a discipline that brings together other disciplines or profession to research into old, new and existing models to build and link digital technology by mobilizing computer tools and relying on all paradigms to know how knowledge is to a specific field.
This has taught me the use of different applications of digital tools and methods, that I must study, analyze, present and preserve to integrate critical approaches and theories, questions and central humanities to result in new perspectives and insights.
I can, therefore, say that Digital Humanities is an interdisciplinary field that utilizes digital technologies and methodologies to advance the study of arts, literature, and culture. It encompasses a vast array of disciplines and practices, bridging the gap between the traditional humanities and the digital world, thereby transforming the way scholars research, interpret, and disseminate knowledge.
The fact that DH is open and inclusive makes research have an open space for different ideas and it embraces different techniques. This constitutes the assumption that DH is a value of technology and Humanities.
