Nestled in the heart of Franche-Comté, Besançon offers a unique blend of historical charm and quaint cafés, all against the backdrop of the magnificent Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In choosing Besançon for my postgraduate studies, I am embarking on a transformative journey in my personal and professional life. My goal, to blend my passion for literature, along with newly acquired skills in Digital Humanities in none other than Victor Hugo’s birthplace, led me to this unique Master’s program. While the intricacies of learning Python, ancient Greek, and Latin challenge me daily, the promise of gaining a comprehensive understanding of the field of rare books and Digital Humanities at UBFC renders the journey rewarding.
