« The journey of a lifetime begins with the turning of a page. » – Rachel Anders
Tere kõigile! As the quote above says, you have to turn some pages to have an adventure – so, I, Anna, once again decided to leave everything behind and go for another adventure in France.
After completing my bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature in Estonia with a variety of interests and a borderline obsession with collecting books, I wanted to find a master that would combine at least some of them, and at the same time would be a novel and useful job prospect. Having found RBDH I decided to say goodbye to my hometown of Pärnu (and books) once again and go to Besançon, where I got the lucky chance to do my master’s degree.
Being excited, I still had my doubts about whether the programme would meet my expectations, but fortunately, the best happened as it was better than I ever thought it would be. In the time I’ve been here, we’ve learnt languages, history, making bibliographies and how to use different programmes, which in turn gives us a lot of options for the future. Thanks to the program, I have also met a lot of great people from all over the world and teachers who are inspiring and motivate me to get up even at 5-6 in the morning (Thank you!).
Coming from the small Estonian summer capital, I’m no stranger to rain, and when you hear the quiet pitter-patter in the evening darkness of Besançon, it’s the perfect time to do your homework. In short, even the weather is conducive to learning!
